There are so many amazing holiday sets out right now, but after perusing a while I had to pick up the adorable Benefit Cheeky Sweet Spot Box o' Blushes.
First of all, look at that packaging! It comes in a very cute painted tin that opens on a hinge. It seems very durable and the blushes themselves rest inside a foam insert.
The box comes with 5 blushes, a bronzer, a highlighter and a brush. Apparently the shade 'Bella Bamba,' a watermelon shade with a slight shimmer is discontinued, so this is your last chance to get your hands on it! The collection costs $43 CDN and says it has a value of about $143.
These are my first Benefit blushes and I must say that I absolutely love them! The pigmentation is buildable, so no worries about going too heavy handed with your brush on the first stroke, and they all build up quite nicely. I've had them on my face all day without setting spray and had them still be very visible and stay put for 9+ hours. This collection is definitely worth the money.
The blushes aren't full size, but definitely a fair size that will last you a while.
Swatches from left to right: Dandelion, Bella Bamba, Sugarbomb, Hoola, Coralista, Rockateur, Watt's Up! highlighter.

I'm subscribed to Julep's Maven box so of course I have a lot of their polishes. I'm a big fan of the formula, although to be honest they sometimes can be a bit inconsistent, with some polishes being thicker or waterier than others. They tend to last fairly well and the colour selection is amazing. I really like the packaging as well, as it's much more compact than other nail polish brands.
These are the polishes I'm loving for fall:
From left to right: Marla, Devon, Briana, Catherine.
My fall picks for nail polishes are mainly darker shades, plus a classic red. The grey shade shows up darker on nails and has lilac microglitter, it's really unique!
I'm wearing it now, so here's how it looks on, forgive my slightly messy application:

I used to think summer was my favourite season. I love warm weather and going out without a jacket, wearing sandals and flats, and basically just not being cold. Sure, fall has its downsides, in my area those mainly start with the letter 'r' (rain, rain, and more rain), but as they say, it takes the negatives to truly enjoy the positives. So without further ado, a few of my favourite things about fall...
1. Holiday Drinks
Of course there are the classic Pumpkin Spice Lattés, Peppermint Mochas, which are delicious! My personal favourite is the Caramel Brulée Latté at Starbucks, it has crunchy bits of caramel on top of the whip cream. It's a delicious, smooth, and caffeinated luxury on a chilly fall day.
2. Fall Fashion
Scarves, jackets, and boots are right up my alley. Nothing like a big comfy sweater and a pair of knee-high boots with socks peeking out to make you feel effortlessly comfortable and yet fashionable.
3. Fireplaces
Honestly I'd sit in front of the fireplace all year round if I didn't feel so ridiculous. I love the warmth and watching a fire is so soothing, especially with it going in the background while you read a good book.
4. Onesies
Nothing is comfier than curling up with a hot drink by the fireplace with a blanket... or just a wearable one (AKA a onesie)! I got this onesie last week at Bluenotes for $25. I'm a bit of a cat lover, so this was perfect!
Don't ask me why she's wearing Converse with a onesie...
5. Christmas is coming!
As soon as Halloween is over the Christmas decorations are up in stores, and I honestly don't mind a bit. Christmas is always a series of elaborate traditions in my family and we have so much fun during the holidays. I love that "Christmas feeling," it's like one of few things I get to hold on to from when I was a kid.
6. Fall Colours
Maroon, greys, golds and blacks are my favourite colours to wear. I'm pretty sure about 25% of my wardrobe is maroon and the majority of my jewelry is gold. I'm just glad that in the fall my preferences align with the colours that are actually in style. 7. Dark Lipstick
There is no better time to rock a dark lip than fall. I'm really loving the Covergirl LipPerfection Lipsticks right now. They have a huge colour selection and they're super moisturizing, they just feel so nice and smooth on your lips. Just watch out because some of the shades are quite frosted, so if you don't love frosted lipsticks be sure to swatch the tester on your hand. 8. Great Movies
A bunch of awesome movies tend to come out in October and November. It used to be Harry Potter movies, and now it's Hunger Games. I'm so excited for Mockingjay Part I, and I think it's going to be amazing. Plus the promotion for this movie has been incredible. I mean, just watch this promo video.
9. Halloween Dressing up is always a ton of fun, whether that means buying a prepackaged costume or creating your own. I always love seeing the super creative ideas some people come up with.
10. New School Term I love fresh starts. Spring cleaning, a new computer, a new year, or a new school term, I always feel like each new beginning represents an opportunity to do better.

Strings, harmonies, folky inspiration, and lots of guitar finger picking, yes, please! This song is a great blend of genres and nice and easy to sing along to. Their voices are soothing, but the song is upbeat enough to bob your head to in the car. Plus the music video is glam. Love this song!
An easy read with an engaging, sensitive, and relatable male main character, this book also leaves behind a great lesson. I especially recommend this book for teens and young adults. The main theme of this book is claiming your true identity and not letting others determine it for you.
Summary: After a tragedy leads him to ditch his 'loser' best friend, Ezra grows to become the most popular kid in his preppy, rich high school, seemingly without even trying. But when Ezra is hit with his own personal tragedy (a car accident), he doesn't fit in with his tennis team, popular crowd, and needs to find a new identity and a new group of friends.
Takeaway: Though the summary and concept for this book may sound cliché and obvious, it is played out cleverly with a twist ending that will leave you with something to think about. I enjoy easy reads as an occasional, much-needed break from school work, and this book definitely provided the escape, and left me reeling at the ending.
Listening to some songs you can sit still and just enjoy. This is not one of those songs. It's a breakup song about wanting someone back with an epic build into every chorus. It makes you want to sing along while dancing around your room. If you're walking around listening to it with headphones, it will make you feel like a boss as you know something the people around you don't: this song.
